Privacy policy.
Last updated 1 April 2026. Compliant with UAE Federal Decree-Law 45/2021 (PDPL).
1. Who we are
QuickFix Home Services LLC (Dubai DED CN-3411098) is the data controller for personal information collected through quickfix.ae and through our booking, dispatch, and customer-care channels. Our office is at Office 412, Building 7, Bay Square, Business Bay, Dubai. Data controller correspondence: privacy@quickfix.ae.
2. Personal data we collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, phone, email, residential address, building and unit number, payment method, and the description of the service you have requested. We collect technical data — IP address, browser, device, and pages visited — through cookies described in section 8.
3. Why we collect it
We collect personal data only for the following purposes: to schedule and complete the service you booked, to dispatch a named technician, to invoice you, to handle warranty and return-visit work inside the 30-day window, to investigate complaints and incidents, and to comply with UAE accounting, tax, and consumer-protection law.
4. Lawful basis
Under PDPL Article 5, we process your data on the basis of contract performance (your booking is the contract), legal obligation (UAE FTA invoicing requirements), and your explicit consent for marketing communication, which you can revoke at any time through the unsubscribe link or by emailing privacy@quickfix.ae.
5. Who we share it with
Our technicians receive your booking details — name, address, phone, scope — for the duration of the visit. Our payment processor (Network International) receives card data through PCI-compliant tokenisation. Our accounting platform (Zoho Books) holds invoice records under our UAE FTA TRN. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with marketing aggregators or unrelated third parties.
6. International transfer
Data is hosted on Vercel infrastructure in the EU (Frankfurt). The transfer is lawful under PDPL Article 22(b) — adequate protection — because the EU operates under GDPR Article 45 adequacy decisions accepted by UAE PDPL.
7. Retention
Booking records: seven years from job completion (UAE accounting record-keeping). Customer-care correspondence: three years. Marketing-list email addresses: until unsubscribed. Photos taken at site (with your consent): retained until job warranty period elapses.
8. Cookies
The website uses three categories of cookies: strictly necessary (session, CSRF, locale), preferences (zone selection on the booking form), and analytics (Plausible, IP-anonymised). We do not use marketing or third-party advertising cookies. You can refuse non-strictly-necessary cookies through the banner shown on first visit.
9. Your rights
Under PDPL Articles 13–18 you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@quickfix.ae. We respond inside thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UAE Data Office at the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
10. AI-content disclosure
Some of the replies to public Google Business Profile reviews on our profile, and the answers to public Google Q&A, are drafted by an internal AI tool (Gemini 2.0 Flash) and reviewed by a human (Sara on dispatch or Aisha on customer care) before publishing. For high-severity matters, Adnan personally reviews every reply. This applies only to public Google Business Profile content — not to private booking communications, which remain human-only.
